These thick hand woven wool rugs represent the vibrant weaving tradition that thrives in the mountains of Peru. They are hand made on a back-strap loom and make a wonderful addition to any home.
Made of naturally dyed wool, using tightly woven techniques, these rugs feature Peruvian history, with the indigenous artisans using typical Incan iconography including suns, condors, rivers and other elements of nature that were so important in ancient Peruvian’s world view.
For a unique, ethnic look they can be used as a bed spread or throw on a sofa – a very special addition to any home!
Each rug measures 160cm x 160cm, and can be cool washed only on a wool setting. Please note that each one is hand-made and may differ slightly from the image shown.
